About Literary Den
The Journey in Brief
Writing befriended me early in my life, like light illuminating the way of a lonely traveler treading the path of experience. Starting as a child's activity of excitement, it soon turned into solace, and then became an addiction - before becoming life.
My first writings made it to the publishing scene on the web in various e-mags. In 2006, my first book The Biting Age was published (in New York), followed by my poetry book Islands of Illusion (by the same press). Since then, a number of my publications have been entombed in pages, digital and print, around the world. In 2009, I created my brain child Recovering the Self - A Journal of Hope and Healing (Loving Healing Press, Ann Arbor, MI). And it continues to live.
The literary den of one's soul continues to grow and expand. It's home to ideas, images, feelings, words, and expressions. I write therefore I am!
The Denizen
A twelve-year-old boy had a problem: he did not join others in play but wrote on a piece of paper the images of his mind. This was me. My hobby of reading had already won me the title of crazy boy in my school days. I spent the whole day long reading fiction stories. And then almost compulsively, I started to write whatever occurred to my charmed imagination. Writing became my friend, my activity, and ultimately my self. After eighteen years of my first experience of creative writing, I look back at the lonesome boy always seeking an isolated corner to play with his imagination. I remember my rooted madness. And I realize that it is the only sanity I have ever known.
My Country and Religion
